This Spoon Is Designed By Sori Yanagi, A Japanese Designer Born In Tokyo In 1915. His Father, Soetsu Yanagi, Was The Founder Of The Mingei (Japanese Folk Art) Movement, Which Celebrated The Beauty Of Everyday Objects And Workmanship Of Ordinary People. This Inspired Yanagi To Pursue A Career In Design And Architecture. After World War Ii, He Designed Many Products, Including The Famous Butterfly Chair In 1954. His Creations Are Now Manufactured By Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
