Features

Miyabi Urushi Kogei Co Ltd Offers A Unique Wooden Sushi Bowl Called "Hangiri" Or "Handai", Which Is Traditionally Used To Serve Nigiri/Chirashi Sushi Or To Make Vinegared Rice. This Bowl Is Handmade By Professionals In A Traditional Method Using Sawara Wood From The Kiso Region Of Nagano Prefecture, Japan. The Beautiful Masame (Straight-Grain) Pattern And Copper Ornamentation Grant The Bowl A Sophisticated Appearance. Sawara Wood Has Been Used In Japan For Centuries To Make Traditional Cooking Tools, And Is Renowned For Its Water Resistance And Durability. Additionally, It Has Natural Antibacterial Properties.

Use &Amp; Care

Resin May Ooze Out On The Surface, But It Is Harmless Despite Its Sticky And Stain-Like Appearance. It Can Be Wiped Away With Vinegar Or Ethanol Liquid (Sterilizing Alcohol). The Bowl Must Be Washed With (Hot) Water After Use To Remove Any Food Residue, Which Can Cause Black Stains. It Should Then Be Wiped With A Dry Cloth And Dried In A Cool, Well-Ventilated Place Away From Direct Sunlight. If The Bowl Is Not Properly Dried After Being Washed, The Wood Will Shrink Quickly, Causing Cracks And Loosening Of The Copper Ornamentation. Leaving The Bowl Wet For A Long Time Can Lead To Mold Or Black Stains. Additionally, This Bowl Is Not Compatible With Dishwashers.
