The Sori Yanagi Bowls Are Designed By Sori Yanagi, A World-Renowned Designer Whose Works Are Exhibited In Some Of The Most Prestigious Museums, Such As The Moma In New York And The Louvre In Paris. Each Bowl Size Has A Distinct Shape And Can Be Used With The Colander/Strainer From The Same Series - With The Exception Of The 13 Cm Bowl. The Designer, Sori Yanagi, Was Born In Tokyo In 1915. His Father, Soetsu Yanagi, Was A Promoter Of Mingei, A Japanese Folk Art That Values Hand-Crafted Ordinary Objects. His Porcelain And Silverware Series Were Manufactured By Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, The Center Of Cutlery And Steel Manufacturing.
