Features

This Hangiri Lid Is Made Of "Sawara" Wood From The Kiso Region In Japan And Is Handmade Using Traditional Methods. Its Masame (Straight-Grain) Pattern And Copper Ornamentation Provide It With A Sophisticated Look. Sawara Wood Has Been Used For Centuries To Make Japanese Traditional Cooking Tools Like Hangiri Or Handai And Has Gained A Reputation As A Great Material For Kitchenware. Sawara Wood Is Grown Naturally And Contains More Resin Than Other Tree Species; It Is Therefore More Water-Resistant And Durable With Natural Antibacterial Effects.

Use &Amp; Care

Resin May Ooze Out On The Surface, But It'S A Natural Ingredient And Harmless, Even With Its Yellow, Sticky And Stain-Like Appearance. To Remove Stickiness, Use Vinegar Or Ethanol Liquid (Sterilizing Alcohol). Some Yellow Stains May Remain, But The Lid Is Safe To Use. Be Sure To Thoroughly Wash The Lid With Hot Water After Use, As Leaving Food Remnants Can Cause Black Stains. After Washing, Dry The Lid With A Cloth And Place It In A Cool, Well-Ventilated Area Out Of Direct Sunlight. If The Lid Isn'T Completely Dried Before Being Stored, The Wood Can Shrink, Resulting In Cracks And Loosening Of The Copper Ornamentation. Leaving The Lid Wet Can Also Cause Mold Or Black Stains. This Lid Is Not Dishwasher Compatible.
