Use &Amp; Care

This Pan Is Suitable For Both Left And Right Handed Users And Is Ideal For Use On Any Kind Of Cooktop, Including Induction Heating. Before Use, Apply A Thin Layer Of Vegetable Oil To The Surface And Pre-Heat Pan Well. After Cooking, It'S Important Not To Leave Any Food In The Pan, Otherwise It May Rust. Handwash With A Soft Sponge And Dry It Thoroughly, Avoiding The Use Of Soap Or Harsh Detergents. Before Storage, Apply A Small Amount Of Vegetable Oil To The Surface While The Pan Is Still Warm.

Background

This Pan Was Designed By Sori Yanagi, A Famous Japanese Designer Born In Tokyo In 1915. His Father, Soetsu Yanagi, Was A Promoter Of Mingei (Japanese Folk Art), Which Valued Hand-Crafted Items Of Ordinary People. Sori Studied Both Art And Architecture At Tokyo Art School And Was Inspired By The Likes Of Le Corbusier And Charlotte Perriand. Post-War, Sori Yanagi Designed Many Products, Including The Water Kettle, Butterfly Chair, Porcelain And Silverware Series. Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd, Based In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Manufactures Most Of The Sori Yanagi-Designed Kitchenware And Tableware.
