After Studying Art And Architecture At Tokyo Art School, Sori'S Interest In Design And Objects Surpassed That Of Paintings And Buildings. Post-Wwii, He Created Many Products Including Furniture, A Three-Wheeled Vehicle, Olympic Cauldron, Pedestrian Overpass, And The Iconic Butterfly Chair In 1954. His Porcelain And Silverware Series Are Also Highly Acclaimed. The Majority Of Sori Yanagi-Designed Kitchenware And Tableware Are Manufactured By Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
