The Ebematsu Co. Hangiri Is Made Of Japanese Sawara Cypress, A Strong And Water-Resistant Wood. The Natural Wooden Bowl Absorbs Excess Moisture From Cooked Rice, And Its Large Surface Area Allows Hot Rice To Cool Quickly.Before The First Use
To Reduce The Pine Tar And Bitterness Of The Wood, Fill The Bowl With Hot Water And Add 180Ml Of Vinegar. Leave Until The Water Has Cooled (2-3 Hours). Afterwards, Wash The Bowl And Dry Promptly With A Soft Tea Towel.Before Every Use
Moisten The Inside Of The Bowl Slightly With A Damp Cloth To Prevent Discoloration And The Transfer Of Smells From The Foods.After Use &Amp; Care
After Use, Fill The Hangiri With Water And Clean With A Soft Brush To Remove The Rice And Any Residue. Wash The Bowl In Water Or Soapy Water, Avoiding Harsher Detergents Or Bleaching Agents.
