Edo Kiriko Is A Traditional Japanese Craftwork That Has Been Officially Designated As A National Heritage. Developed In Downtown Tokyo During The Edo Period (1603-1867), The Craftsmanship Involves Melting Transparent Glass In 1350 Degrees Heat, Before Plating It With Colored Glass To Create Two Layers. The Glass Is Then Cut And Curved By Hand To Form Fine Designs And Patterns, Resulting In A Beautiful Two-Shaded Contrast That Reflects Light Beautifully.
