背景
池永鉄工株式会社は、1937年に大阪で創業しました。合金、ブッシング、圧延ロールなどの鋼材鋳物の製造を専門としています。
南部鉄器には2つの種類があります。一つは盛岡市を起源とするもので、約400年前に南部氏が盛岡城を築きました。彼らは領地の文化的発展のために、京都から職人を招き茶道を奨励し、その結果、この地域で茶道用の鉄器が生産されるようになりました。
もう一つは、岩手県の南部（日本語で「南部」）である奥州市水沢に由来し、藤原氏が黄金文化を確立し、鉄器を開発しました。
