使用とお手入れ
人間工学に基づいて設計されたケトルは、左利きまたは右利きでの使用に適しており、IHを含むあらゆるタイプのコンロでの使用に最適です。最高の性能を確保するには、表面に薄く植物油を塗り、使用前に予熱してください。必ず柔らかいスポンジで手洗いし、その後完全に乾かしてください。石鹸や刺激の強い洗剤は使用しないでください。乾燥した場所に保管する前に、まだ温かいうちに表面に少量の植物油を塗ってください。
背景
このエレガントなウォーターケトルは、1915年に東京で生まれた著名な日本人デザイナー、柳宗理によってデザインされました。彼の父、柳宗悦は民藝（日本の民俗芸術）運動の推進に尽力し、普通の人々の手作りの芸術を評価し、日常の物に美を発見しました。東京美術学校で美術と建築を学んだ後、宗理はル・コルビュジエとシャルロット・ペリアンに感銘を受け、デザインと物にますます興味を持つようになりました。第二次世界大戦後、宗理は家具、三輪車、オリンピック聖火台、歩道橋など、多くの製品をデザインしました。ウォーターケトルは彼の最も有名なデザインの1つであり、1955年に新潟県燕市で設立された株式会社ニホンヨシッキによって製造されました。
