特徴
柳宗理の鉄製フライパンシリーズのこのフライパンは、佐藤商事株式会社が発明した「マグマプレート」と呼ばれる独自の素材で作られています。このブルーテンパー材は、南部鉄器のように内側と外側に凹凸模様が刻まれ、表面保護のための黒色酸化皮膜とシリコン樹脂塗装が施されています。
表面積が増えることで、フライパンの熱伝導率が高まり、調理が速くなり、食品の風味を保ちます。耐久性があり、高温やスチール製の調理器具の使用にも耐えられます。
使用方法とお手入れ
このフライパンは左利き、右利きどちらの方にも適しており、IHを含むあらゆるタイプのコンロで使用できます。フライパンを使用するたびに、調理面に薄く植物油を塗り、食品を加える前にゆっくりと予熱してください。柔らかいスポンジで手洗いし、完全に乾かしてください。石鹸や刺激の強い洗剤は使用しないでください。錆の発生を防ぐため、調理後、食品をフライパンに入れたままにしないでください。フライパンがまだ温かいうちに、内面に少量の植物油を塗り、乾燥した場所に保管してください。
背景
柳宗理は1915年に東京で生まれ、父である柳宗悦の「民藝（日本の民芸）」運動に感銘を受け、普通の人々の手作りの芸術を大切にしました。東京美術学校で美術と建築を学んだ後、柳は家具、三輪車、オリンピック聖火台、歩道橋など、さまざまな製品を設計しました。1954年のウォーターケトルとバタフライチェアのデザインで最も有名です。
ニホンヨシキ株式会社は、1955年に新潟県燕市で設立され、柳宗理のキッチン用品や食器のほとんどを製造しています。
