おひつは伝統的な木製容器で、主に炊飯器から出したご飯を良好な状態で保つために使用されます。この容器は、木曽地方の木材「サワラ」で作られています。サワラは、古来より「飯切（半台）」や「おひつ」など、日本の伝統的な調理器具に使われてきました。さらに、サワラの木は他の種類の木よりも樹脂を多く含んでいるため、耐水性と耐久性に優れ、天然の抗菌効果があります。容器は柾目（ストレートグレイン）模様と銅の装飾で美しく作られており、洗練された外観を与えています。

使用とお手入れ
- 表面に樹脂が染み出してきた場合は、酢またはエタノール液（殺菌アルコール）で拭き取ることができます。
- 使用後は容器を（熱い）水で十分に洗い、直射日光の当たらない涼しく風通しの良い場所で乾燥させてください。
- 食器洗い機には対応していません。
