Hikiyose Is A Wooden Product Line Made With Modern Design And Two Traditional Manufacturing Techniques: "Kijibiki" And "Yosegi". "Kijibiki" Is The Art Of Shaping Wooden Material Into A Bowl With An Edged Tool And Lathe. "Yosegi" Is The Wooden Mosaic Technique Of Combining Different Types Of Wood Pieces. The Hikiyose Line Was Designed By Kaichiro Yamada Of Kaichi Design And Won The Good Design Award In 2014.

Use And Care Tips For Hikiyose Wooden Products

  • Avoid Long-Term Exposure To High Temperatures, Humidity, Extreme Dryness Or Direct Sunlight Which May Cause Cracking Or Deformation.
  • Falls And Strong Impacts May Cause Cracking Or Breakage. Avoid Using Hard Scourers Or Sponges.
  • Abrasive Agents Such As Thinner And Benzine May Cause The Coating To Come Off.
  • These Products Are Not Compatible With Gas Stoves, Microwaves, Or Dishwashers.
  • Avoid Soaking It In Water For A Long Time, Which May Cause It To Crack Or Bend.
  • Avoid Leaving Food Inside Or Keeping It Wet, Which May Cause Staining, Mould Or Bacteria Proliferation.
  • If You Are Bothered By The Smell When First Using It, Pour Hot Water Into It And Wait 3 Minutes, Then Drain And Wipe It Off Before Use.
