The Nambu Cast Ironware Pan Is An Ideal Choice For Making Sukiyaki, A Beloved Homemade Dish For Special Occasions. Not Only Does It Make Your Usual Sukiyaki Extra Special, But It Can Also Be Used To Make Delicious Gyoza. Its Flat Base Is Compatible With Induction Heating Or Any Cooktop, And Its Heat Efficiency Ensures That The Ingredients Are Cooked Evenly And Thoroughly. The Wooden Lid Also Fits Perfectly To Prevent Boiling Over. Cast Ironware Is Great For Sukiyaki Because It Can Maintain A Consistent Temperature Even When Lots Of Ingredients Are Added. With Use Over Time, It Gradually Releases Divalent Iron, Which Is Beneficial For Iron Supplementation. When Handling The Pan, Be Sure To Use A Pot Holder As It Will Be Extremely Hot. Non Detergent Washing Is Recommended, And It Is Important To Boil The Pan With No Water In And Thoroughly Dry It After Washing. If The Pan Gets Rusted, Remove The Rust With A Steel Scrubbing Brush And Apply A Thin Layer Of Oil Before Storage. Nambu Cast Ironware Is Divided Into Two Types. The First Is From Morioka City, Where The Nambu Clan Built Morioka Castle About 400 Years Ago. Local Artisans Were Invited From Kyoto To Promote Tea Ceremonies, Which Led To The Production Of Cast Ironware For Tea Ceremonies. The Other Type Originates From Mizusawa, Oshu City, Located In The Southern Part Of Iwate Prefecture, Where The Fujiwara Clan Established The Golden Culture And Developed Cast Ironware.
