Traditional Hangiri Lid With Masame Pattern And Copper Ornamentation

This Hangiri Lid Is Made Of Sawara Wood, Which Has Been Used To Make Japanese Traditional Cooking Tools For Centuries. Each Size Of The Lid Is Compatible With The Same Size Of Hangiri. It'S Handmade By Professionals In Kiso, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, In A Traditional Method And Its Beautiful Masame (Straight-Grain) Pattern And Copper Ornamentation Grant It With Sophisticated Appearance.

Sawara Wood Is Naturally Grown And Contains More Resin Than Other Types Of Trees. This Provides It With Higher Water Resistance And Durability, Making It Last Longer With Natural Antibacterial Effects.

Use & Care

Resin Can Sometimes Ooze Out Of The Surface, But It'S A Natural Ingredient And Harmless. If You Wipe It Off With Vinegar Or Ethanol Liquid (Sterilizing Alcohol), You Can Get Rid Of The Stickiness. To Ensure Safety, You Should Wash The Lid With (Hot) Water After Use To Make Sure There Isn'T Any Bit Of Food Left, Which Can Cause Black Stains. After Washing, Make Sure To Drain, Wipe With A Dry Cloth And Dry In Cool Well-Ventilated Places Out Of Direct Sunlight. Leaving The Lid Wet Can Cause It To Shrink, Crack And Loosen The Surrounding Copper Ornamentation.

For Best Results, The Lid Should Not Be Washed In A Dishwasher.
