Sori Yanagi Was A Renowned Designer Born In Tokyo, Japan In 1915. His Father, Soetsu Yanagi Was A Pioneer In The Japanese Folk Art Movement, And His Work Played A Large Role In Establishing The Nihon Mingeikan, The Folk Crafts Museum Of Japan.

Sori Yanagi Studied Both Art And Architecture At Tokyo Art School In 1934 And Was Inspired By The Works Of Le Corbusier And Charlotte Perriand. After World War Ii, Sori Designed Many Products Such As Furniture, Three-Wheeled Vehicle, Olympic Cauldron, And Pedestrian Overpass.
