Yamada Double-Handled Woks Are Renowned For Their Superior Quality And Craftsmanship. The Surface Of Each Wok Is Hammered By Hand Over 5,000 Times, Creating A Unique Texture That Interacts With Cooking Oil For Flawless Cooking. The Woks Are Also Designed With Different Thicknesses In Each Part Of The Wok To Ensure Heat Is Distributed Evenly And Efficiently. Like Any Handcrafted Item, Each Of These Woks Is Slightly Unique In Size And May Contain Minor Imperfections Such As Fine Scratches Or Minor Variations In Color. These Are All Signs Of Its Artisanal Craftsmanship. It’S Important To Note That Yamada Woks Are Coated With Protective Varnish At The Time Of Delivery To Prevent Rusting During Transport And Storage. The Varnish Needs To Be Burnt Off Over High Heat In Order To Season The Wok And Prepare It For First Use.
