Sori Yanagi Was Born In Tokyo, Japan In 1915. He Was The Son Of Soetsu Yanagi, The Founder Of The Nihon Mingeikan, Which Promoted And Valued The Handmade Art Of Everyday People. Sori Yanagi Studied Painting, Architecture, And Design At Tokyo Art School In 1934 And Was Inspired By Le Corbusier And Charlotte Perriand. After World War Ii, He Designed Many Products Such As Furniture, Three-Wheeled Vehicles, Olympic Cauldrons, And Pedestrian Overpasses.
One Of His Most Famous Creations Is The Water Kettle, Which Was Released In 1954 Along With The Butterfly Chair And A Porcelain And Silverware Series. Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan Manufactures Sori Yanagi'S Kitchenware And Tableware.
