• Usucha (thin tea):  Use 2g (about 1 tsp) of matcha powder with 60–70ml hot water (75–80°C). Whisk with a bamboo chasen until smooth and frothy.

• Koicha (thick tea):  Use 4g of matcha with 30–40ml hot water. Whisk slowly to create a rich, dense texture — ideal for special tea occasions.
