Yamada Kogyosho Is A Family-Owned Craft Factory In Yokohama, Japan, Which Has Been Running For Three Generations And Is The Only Manufacturer Of Hammered Woks In Japan. Their Round Bottom Woks Come In Two Sizes, 42 Cm And 45 Cm, And Are Only Available With Unseasoned Option. Yamada Woks Are Known For Their Superior Quality And Are Highly Evaluated By Professionals.
For Their Elaborately Hammered Surface, Which Is Made One By One And Totally Distinctive From That Of Pressed Woks. For Proper Use And Care, Unseasoned Woks Are Regularly Stocked And Come With Anti-Rust Protective Coating On Delivery. Before First Use, Make Sure To Heat The Wok To Burn Off The Coating And Wash It With Detergent When It Gets Cool. Then, Stir-Frying Vegetable Scraps Is Recommended In Order To Make The Wok Ready.
On The Other Hand, Pre-Seasoned Woks Are Build-To-Order Products. Instead Of Anti-Rust Coating, The Woks Are Finished With Cooking Oil. Since They Are Made Upon Each Order, It Will Take 5-10 Weeks Before The Shipment. You Don’T Need To Heat The Wok To Burn Off The Coating Before First Use, But Wash It With Detergent.
