The Sori Yanagi Spoon Is The Product Of A Renowned Designer With A History In Japanese Folk Art. Sori Yanagi Was Born In Tokyo In 1915. His Father, Soetsu Yanagi, Was Responsible For Promoting Mingei, A Form Of Art That Focused On Hand-Crafted Pieces Made By Ordinary People. Sori Studied Both Art And Architecture At Tokyo Art School, And His Design Work Included Furniture, Vehicles, Olympic Cauldrons, And Pedestrian Overpasses. He Is Best Known For His 1954 Butterfly Chair And His Porcelain And Silverware Series, Which Are Produced By Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
