Background

Nousaku Corporation Is A Japanese Company Based In Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. It Has Been Producing Handcrafted Metal Products Since 1916, And Is One Of The Largest Producers Of Cast Metal Products In Japan. Castings From Takaoka, Such As The Great Buddha Statue, Vases, And Buddhist Altar Fittings, Show The High Level Of Craftsmanship Of The City'S Metal Product Makers.

Takaoka'S Copperware Production Is Said To Have Begun Around 400 Years Ago When The City Was Founded. Each Product Is Made With Several Processes, Such As Mold-Forming, Casting, Finishing, And Coloring. Nousaku Products Are The Result Of Experienced Craftsmen Mastering These Processes, Making For Beautiful Pieces That Can Be Used As Starters, Desserts, And Other Small Dishes.
