I own a number of fountain pens from a variety of makers: Pelikan, Lamy, Otto Hutt, Sailor, Pilot and Platinum. Over time I've come to favour Platinum for their reliability, value for money and the quality of their nibs, which write smoothly with just the right amount of feedback. A Pilot Capless (also bought from japanwithlovestore.com) was my first capless fountain pen. At first I was disappointed as it kept drying up. Until after a little research and trial and error I teamed it up with Diamine inks, which are very wet, and it now writes perfectly and very reliably. So I decided to try the Platinum Curidas. The Curidas is now my favourite, paired with the Pilot Capless and a Hobinichi Techo. The Curidas attracts a lot of curious and admiring looks. If you are a Dr Who fan you can almost imagine it is a Sonic Screwdriver. The one I bought comes with an ink cartridge, a converter and a bottle of Platinum Mixable Ink. At a fantastically low price (compared to buying in the UK), reasonably priced once you add postage, and excellent value if you bundle with other items if you stay below the £150 tariff free limit for overseas purchases. I highly recommend this pen (and the Pilot Capless, with Diamine ink), and japanwithlovestore.com
