Hikiyose Is A Unique Wooden Product Created By Combining Modern Design With Two Traditional Manufacturing Techniques – "Kijibiki" And "Yosegi". Kijibiki Involves Shaping Wood Into A Bowl With Edged Tools And A Lathe, While Yosegi Is A Type Of Wooden Mosaic Work That Combines Different Types Of Wood Pieces.
Designed By Kaichiro Yamada Of Kaichi Design, Hikiyose Won The Good Design Award In 2014.
Use & Care Instructions
When Using And Caring For Hikiyose, It Is Important To Avoid Exposing The Product To Extreme Temperatures And Humidity, Direct Sunlight, Hard Scourers Or Sponges, And Abrasive Agents Such As Thinner And Benzine. Additionally, Hikiyose Is Not Compatible With Gas Stoves, Microwaves, Or Dishwashers, And Should Not Be Soaked In Water For Long Periods Of Time. Food Should Not Be Left Inside Nor Should It Be Kept Wet, As This Can Lead To Staining, Mold, And Bacteria.
To Reduce The Smell Of A New Product, Pour Hot Water In It And Wait Three Minutes Before Draining And Wiping It Dry. After Use, Wash With A Soft Sponge And Neutral Detergent Dissolved In Warm Water, And Wipe Dry With A Cloth.
