Features Of The Handmade Hangiri Sushi Bowl

The Hangiri Sushi Bowl Is A Traditional Japanese Kitchen Tool That Is Used To Serve Nigiri/Chirashi Sushi Or To Make Vinegared Rice. Handmade By Experts In The Kiso Region Of Japan, The Hangiri Bowl Is Made Of Sawara Wood And Has A Beautiful Masame (Straight-Grain) Pattern And Copper Ornamentation That Gives It A Sophisticated Look. Sawara Wood Has Been Used To Make Traditional Japanese Kitchen Tools For Centuries Due To Its Water Resistance And Durability, As Well As Its Natural Antibacterial Qualities.

Use & Care

Resin From The Sawara Wood May Sometimes Ooze Out On The Surface, But This Is Natural And Not Harmful. You Can Remove The Stickiness With Vinegar Or Ethanol Liquid (Sterilizing Alcohol). Some Yellow Stains May Remain, But It Is Safe To Use. After Use, The Bowl Must Be Washed With Hot Water To Remove All Food Particles That Can Cause Black Stains. Be Sure To Wipe It Dry With A Cloth And Leave It To Dry In A Cool, Well-Ventilated Place Away From Direct Sunlight. If The Bowl Is Not Properly Dried, It Can Cause Cracks And Loosen The Copper Ornamentation.

The Hangiri Sushi Bowl Is Not Suitable For Use In A Dishwasher.
