The Nambu Tekki Tetsubin Kettle With Its Unique Contemporary Rounded Design Is A Traditional Kettle With An Eye-Catching Wooden Lid Knob Designed To Stay Cool Even When The Kettle Is Hot. Its Use And Care Are Simple And Straightforward. The Kettle Is Not Induction Compatible Due To The Bottom Diameter And Is Intended Only For Boiling Water – Steeping Tea Or Other Plants Inside Is Not Recommended. Prior To First Use, The Kettle Should Be Rinsed With Hot Water (No Soap) Several Times And Then Boiled Before Use. After Each Use, The Water Should Be Discarded And The Kettle Should Be Dried Completely On Low Heat. The Interior Should Not Be Washed Or Rubbed. It Should Be Stored In A Dry Location For Optimal Results. The Nambu Tekki Tetsubin Kettle Is Produced By Ikenaga Iron Works Co. Ltd. In Osaka, Japan. Founded In 1937, Ikenaga Iron Works Co. Ltd. Specializes In The Manufacturing Of Steel Castings Including Alloy, Bushings, And Rolling Mill Rolls. In 1975, Nambu Cast Ironware Was Designated As A Traditional Craftwork Due To Its Long History Of Cultural Development. Developed By The Nambu Clan 400 Years Ago And The Fujiwara Clan 900 Years Ago, The Cast Ironware Is Made From Local Materials Such As Iron Sand, River Sand, Clay, Lacquer, And Charcoal.
