This Spoon Is Crafted By Sori Yanagi, A World-Renowned Japanese Designer. It Is Made Of 18-8 Stainless Steel And Reinforced Laminated Wood (Birch) For The Handle. This Spoon Has An Approximate Length And Width Of 179 X 50 Mm And Weighs 60 G. It Is Manufactured In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, The Center Of Cutlery And Steel Manufacturing.

The Wood Handle Of This Spoon Is Delicate, So Please Make Sure To Not Wash It In A Dishwasher Or Soak It In Water For A Long Time.

Background

Sori Yanagi Was Born In Tokyo, Japan In 1915. His Father, Soetsu Yanagi, Was A Leader In The Japanese Folk Art Movement, And He Established The Nihon Mingeikan, The Folk Crafts Museum Of Japan. Sori Studied Both Art And Architecture At The Tokyo Art School In 1934, And He Was Greatly Influenced By Le Corbusier And Charlotte Perriand. After Wwii, Sori Designed Many Products Such As Furniture, A Three-Wheeled Vehicle, An Olympic Cauldron, And A Pedestrian Overpass. His Most Famous Design Is The Water Kettle, Which Included The Butterfly Chair In 1954 And A Porcelain And Silverware Series. Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd Was Founded In 1955 In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, And Produces Most Of Sori Yanagi'S Kitchenware And Tableware.
