The Product Is A Set Of Table Knives From The Renowned Designer Sori Yanagi From Japan. The Knives Are Made Of 18-8 Stainless Steel And Have A Dimension Of 230 Mm And Weigh 71 G. The Shipping Weight Of The Product Is 80 G.

Background

Sori Yanagi Was Born In Tokyo, Japan In 1915. He Was The Son Of Soetsu Yanagi, Who Was A Promoter Of “Mingei” (Japanese Folk Art). His Father Also Helped To Set Up The Nihon Mingeikan, The Folk Crafts Museum Of Japan. Sori Studied Both Art And Architecture In Tokyo Art School, Wherein He Was Deeply Impressed By Le Corbusier And Charlotte Perriand. After His Studies, Sori Yanagi Designed Different Products Such As Furniture, Three-Wheeled Vehicle, Olympic Cauldron, And Pedestrian Overpass. He Is Particularly Known For His Water Kettle Design, Which Includes The Butterfly Chair In 1954, As Well As His Porcelain And Silverware Series. Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd Was Founded In 1955 In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, And Manufactures Most Of The Sori Yanagi-Designed Kitchenware And Tableware. The Table Knives Provided By The Company Is A Product Of The Same.
