Background

This Kitchenware Was Designed By Sori Yanagi, A Japanese Designer Born In 1915. His Father Was A Promoter Of Mingei (Japanese Folk Art) And Established The Nihon Mingeikan, The Folk Crafts Museum Of Japan. Sori Studied Art And Architecture Before Designing Various Products Such As Furniture, A Three-Wheeled Vehicle, An Olympic Cauldron, And A Pedestrian Overpass. His Most Famous Design Was The Butterfly Chair In 1954, Which Was Followed By His Porcelain And Silverware Series. The Kitchenware Was Manufactured By Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd In Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, Which Is The Center Of Cutlery And Steel Manufacturing.
